Grid Options

Image:grid_options.jpg

The Grid Options command brings up the Grid Options dialog box. Each window has its own set of Grid options. The options in the dialog apply to the active window. You can apply the parameters in the dialog to all the windows if you set the Apply to All Views toggle on the bottom of the dialog.

If you activate this dialog from the View Menu, then initial value of the Apply to all Views will be true. If this dialog is activated from right clicking on the View Banner, then the initial value of the Apply to all Views will be false.

The Grid Spacing parameter is the real units spacing between major grid axis.

The Grid Divisions parameter is the number of Minor Grid divisions between the major divisions.

You can use the three Color settings to set the Origin, Major Grid, and Minor Grid colors.

The Show Grid setting allows you to turn off the display of the grid.

The Snap to Grid toggle lets you turn on and off the Snap setting. When on, the translation of all Nodes will Snap to the nearest intersection of Minor Grid intersections.

The Show Numbers toggle will turn on and off the display of the numbers on the Grid.

You can independently turn on and off the display of the XZ, YZ, and XY planes. Alternatively, you can turn on Back Plane of View toggle, which will automatically make the plane that is closest to the back plane of the view visible, and all other planes hidden.

The radio buttons near the bottom let you toggle between grid display of Lines or Points.
